Troops Storm Baghdad Airport, and Iraqi Capital Goes Dark

KUWAIT, April 3 — Moving swiftly through the suburbs of Baghdad, American forces launched an attack today on the capital's main international airport, less than 10 miles from the city.
In Baghdad, for the first time since the war started on March 19, power was cut across the city of five million people. The cause was not immediately apparent.
